About Me

I’m Tricia LaBella, founder of LaBella Tutoring. I’m a certified elementary educator with more than 28 years of teaching experience helping students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Teaching has always been close to my heart. Inspired by my father, who was also an educator, I discovered early on that helping children learn and grow was exactly where I was meant to be.
What I value most is meeting students where they are. Whether a child needs additional support or greater academic challenges, I create individualized learning experiences that build on their strengths and help them reach their full potential. I specialize in reading, writing, and foundational math support for students in grades 2–6, creating personalized lessons that make learning engaging, effective, and confidence-building.
As a mother of two, I understand the trust parents place in educators. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to foster confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning. I believe every child is capable of success when given the right support, encouragement, and tools

My Experience

I have experience supporting students in reading, writing, and math.  I was proud to see them make progress and build confidence as learners. I also teach test-taking strategies to help children feel more prepared and less stressed during assessments. Below is a chart showing the progress my sixth-grade students made, including the percentage who passed.
